Founded in 2023 and conducted by Stephan Dorré, the Feria Orchestra brings together professional and non-professional musicians and friends from Reading, Bristol, and beyond. This talented ensemble celebrated its inaugural concert performance in January 2024 and now performs regularly across the south of England, showcasing a diverse range of classical music.
Feria, meaning "Festival" in Spanish, signifies celebration, and our aim is to inspire and entertain audiences through concert performances of classical music in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you at one of our concerts soon!

You-Chiung Lin is a pianist and chamber musician based in the UK and she performs regularly with the Feria Orchestra. After completing her degree at Tunghai University in Taiwan, she was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has enjoyed a successful concert career performing both at home and abro
You-Chiung Lin is a pianist and chamber musician based in the UK and she performs regularly with the Feria Orchestra. After completing her degree at Tunghai University in Taiwan, she was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She has enjoyed a successful concert career performing both at home and abroad. Her concerto performances have been frequent and well-received, collaborating with a range of orchestras and ensembles. She also teaches piano, sharing her love for the instrument and inspiring young musicians.

Pauline, our Honorary Patron, was a great supporter of music throughout her life. For many years, she ran the Wind Section of The Watford Music Festival and was a member of the committee of the Octagon Music Society. In 2023, she encouraged Stephan to put on a concert including famous show

Pauline, our Honorary Patron, was a great supporter of music throughout her life. For many years, she ran the Wind Section of The Watford Music Festival and was a member of the committee of the Octagon Music Society. In 2023, she encouraged Stephan to put on a concert including famous show songs, and this sowed the seed for the Feria Orchestra's first concert. She made a generous donation to fund the concert, and supported the orchestra ever since.
